Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. in Northern California seeks an Experienced Remediation Engineer (Vapor Intrusion) to lead VI investigations, mitigation systems, and risk evaluations for industrial, commercial, and government clients from Oakland, Sacramento or Walnut Creek offices.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, project delivery, regulatory coordination with CalEPA/USEPA, and mentoring junior staff while pursuing new VI opportunities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in environmental consulting with a VI focus
• Strong remediation/engineering or geology background
• Experience managing projects, resources, quality and finances
• Solid understanding of CalEPA/USEPA VI regulations
• Experience mentoring staff and leading multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent VI data evaluation and interpretation skills
• Willingness to travel and conduct fieldwork as needed
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record

Responsabilités

• Lead VI remediation and mitigation projects from scope to execution
• Develop VI conceptual site models and risk strategies
• Prepare work plans, memos and compliance documents
• Oversee pilot studies and full-scale mitigation installations
• Review technical deliverables and ensure quality and defensibility
• Support business development and client relationships for VI work
• Mentor junior staff and oversee field sampling activities
• Occasionally perform site visits, multi-media sampling, and O&M support
• Travel to client sites as required
