HDR is seeking a Value Engineer & Project Risk Management Lead to support core project initiatives and business development activities. Located in the United States, this role requires leading workshops and collaborating across teams to meet client needs. Candidates must have significant experience in value engineering with a Certified Value Specialist (CVS) certification and a strong track record of client relationships.

Value Engineer & Project Risk Management Lead to assist the Value Engineering/Risk Director in developing strategic visions, tactical plans, managing workshare, project assignments, and providing direct project support for VE workshops, cost and schedule risk management workshops, and related assignments nationwide.
In addition to core project support, the role engages with other Business Groups, Market Sectors, and Business Classes to meet client needs and contributes to business development efforts, including proposal support, staffing assignments, sub‑consultant identification, and other duties as required.
• Assist the Value Engineering/Risk Director in strategic vision and tactical planning.
• Manage workshare and project assignments.
• Lead VE workshops and cost and schedule risk management workshops across national projects.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support client project needs.
• Participate in business development activities, including proposal development, staffing, subcontractor selection, and related tasks.
• Provide end‑to‑end project support across all project development phases.
Position is located in the United States with preference for areas of significant HDR presence and proximity to an HDR office. Travel averages approximately 50% of time with monthly fluctuations between 25% and 75%. Domestic travel up to 75% of the time may be required.
