Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Sr Value Based Programs Financial Analyst to provide advanced financial, utilization, and healthcare data analysis supporting value-based programs. You will analyze TME, utilization trends, risk adjustment, and contract performance while ensuring data accuracy.

Reporting to the Manager of Value Based Care Financial Performance, you will develop actionable insights, executive reports, and financial models, mentor junior analysts, and collaborate with actuarial

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in healthcare finance, value-based care analytics, managed care analytics, or healthcare analytics.
Excellent analytical and presentation skills.
Familiarity with healthcare data systems, including EMR platforms (e.g. Epic/Clarity) and claims data.
Working knowledge of computer‑aided data analysis, financial forecasting, and value‑based program performance analytics (e.g., TME, utilization, risk management, and shared savings).
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

Leads development of financial reports, executive summaries, and dashboards for value-based programs.
Prepares analytic reports on total medical expenses, utilization, risk adjustment, and contract performance.
Track performance against financial targets and conduct variance analyses with actionable solutions.
Develop financial projections, modeling, and forecasting with actuarial partners on savings/loss projections.
Mentor junior analysts and oversee documentation and tool usage.
