Job summary

Neuberger is seeking a Valuation Specialist for the NB Alternatives platform. The role builds a centralized valuation team to support the platform and coordinate cross-functional valuation activities.

You will prepare valuation models for private equity and private credit, validate models, and interact with auditors, fund managers, and third-party providers. The position is hybrid in New York with senior stakeholder exposure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in valuation or investment banking/advisory with exposure to alternative assets.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP ASC 820/946 and IPEV guidance.
• Experience with private equity and private credit valuation.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks for registered/private funds (1940 Act, Advisers Act).
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in monthly/quarterly cycles.

Responsibilities

• Support daily, monthly and quarterly valuation models and portfolio analytics.
• Coordinate with Operations, Accounting, IT, Risk on pricing and valuation inputs/outputs.
• Assist with valuation policy compliance and audit communications.
• Develop dashboards, KPIs and management reporting on valuation coverage.
• Lead valuation memos and ASC 820/946 documentation.
• Support Valuation Committee meetings and approvals.
