Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a UX Researcher to build deep user insights and inform health-insurance product experiences for members, providers, agents, and employer groups.

You will plan and conduct studies using qualitative and quantitative methods, collaborate with designers and PMs, and translate findings into actionable design recommendations while maintaining a research repository and advocating for inclusive design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in HCI, anthropology, psychology, or related field.
• Experience with a wide variety of research methodologies.
• Proficiency with testing tools like UserZoom / UserTesting; Maze experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct user research studies using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
• Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and business teams to establish priorities.
• Map user journeys and create UX personas or archetypes to inform design.
• Present research findings to senior leadership, product teams, and UX groups to shape decisions.
• Coordinate participant recruitment and scheduling for research sessions.
• Maintain the research repository and ensure findings are accessible to team members.
• Advocate for inclusive design across products and services.
• Participate in critique and reviews with multi-disciplinary teams.
