Fivetran, Inc. is seeking a Senior UX Researcher to join our rapidly growing Product org. The ideal candidate balances research rigor with business focus, leading cross-functional projects and collaborating with design, product, and analytics.

You will dive deep into daily user lives to inform product decisions. You will report to the Director of UX Research in a full-time, hybrid role based in Oakland, CA or Denver, CO, with two days in the office weekly for collaboration.

About the Role

Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies.

We’re looking for a Senior UX Researcher to join our rapidly growing Product org. Our ideal candidate has a balance of research rigor and business focus. We value those that hit the ground running, leading by example on projects and collaborating well cross-functionally. You will be diving deep into the daily lives of our customers and applying that understanding to everyday product design decisions.

We appreciate Researchers who are curious, humble, think deeply, speak clearly, and thrive on collaboration and feedback. On day one, this role will report to the Director of UX Research.

This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of our Oakland, CA or Denver, CO office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.

What You’ll Do

• Plan, manage, and execute on user research programs across focused product areas
• Collaborate with design, product, and analytics to build research projects that align with stakeholder needs as well as user needs.
• Guide product and design on the research methodology, question framing, and other best practices for self-run studies.
• Identify emerging customer and user needs to support the development of new products.
• Synthesize learnings from past research and analytics data to tell compelling stories and lead ideation sessions.
• Experience conducting mixed-method qualitative and quantitative research.
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates your work, research philosophy, and impact.
• An entrepreneurial, self-motivated mindset with a bias toward action and the ability to lead projects through ambiguity.
• The ability to craft engaging presentations and compelling stories that influence stakeholders.
• A strong desire to understand our users and how our product contributes to their success.
• Experience using AI to plan studies, synthesize feedback, and work more efficiently.

Bonus Skills

• Experience in the data industry
• Experience with various survey methods, analysis, visualizations and relevant data tools like SQL.

The compensation range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire compensation for the target position and level, and may include sales incentives or target bonuses depending on the role. Our compensation ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Our job titles may span more than one career level. Within the range, individual compensation is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, business need, market demands. Pay Range

$174,391 — $217,989 USD
