Job summary

Target is seeking a Senior Product Designer for the Global UX Loyalty team in Minnesota. You will shape the next-generation loyalty ecosystem, designing experiences that enhance rewards, personalization, and guest engagement across digital and in-store touchpoints.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Marketing, and cross-functional partners to translate strategy into intuitive experiences. A hybrid work model and strong design craft are expected.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience designing consumer-facing digital products at scale.
  • Strong product design skills, including structuring and planning work and delivering high-quality experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the full design process from discovery to production with engineers.
  • Lead and contribute craft-specific work on large, cross-team projects.
  • Leverage data and research to identify user-centric outcomes within your product space.
  • Create design deliverables such as journey maps, wireframes, user flows, UI design and prototypes.
  • Maintain high standards of craft including accessibility and information architecture.
  • Foster a culture of human-centered practice within UX, product, and engineering teams.
  • Navigate complexity to deliver impact for guests and the business.

The pay range is $98,000.00 - $176,000.00

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications. As a Senior Product Designer within our Loyalty UX Team, you'll be at the forefront of Target's evolving digital experience, helping shape the future of our next-generation loyalty ecosystem. You'll design experiences that make loyalty more rewarding, personalized, and seamlessly integrated into every shopping journey across digital and in-store touchpoints.

Working closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Marketing, and cross-functional business partners, you'll define and deliver end-to-end experiences spanning membership, rewards, personalization, and member engagement. You'll translate complex business strategy into simple, intuitive experiences that deepen guest relationships and drive long-term loyalty. This role is ideal for a systems thinker who enjoys solving complex, interconnected product challenges and designing experiences that span multiple touchpoints across the guest journey.

You’ll use tried and true design methodologies such as human centered design thinking to understand guest needs, balance business ideas, deliver best-in-class design from concept to execution, while championing cross-functional experimentation.

As a member of the team, you will contribute to advancing the broader practice of UX at Target through influence, impact, and craft, while also educating cross-functional teams when needed. Responsibilities
  • Participate in the full design process, from early discovery and strategic approach to ideation, design, testing asset delivery and production with engineers
  • Lead and contribute craft-specific work to large, complex projects with cross-team impact
  • Leverage insights, data and quantitative/qualitative research to identify and pursue user-centric outcomes within your product space
  • Create design deliverables representative of the design process phase – such as journey maps, wireframes, user flows, UI design and prototypes
  • Hold design work to a high standard of craft, including accessibility, user research, information architecture, interaction design, visual design
  • Contribute to a culture of human-centered practice within UX, product, and engineering teams
  • Navigate complexity and ambiguity delivering impact for guests and the business
About you:
  • You're an experienced product designer with 6+ years of experience designing consumer-facing digital products at scale, or equivalent experience
  • Strong product design skills, including structuring and planning work, owning the design process, and delivering high-quality experiences from concept through execution
  • Proficiency in product design and prototyping tools (i.e., Figma)
  • Demonstrated strategic problem-solving, systems thinking, and collaboration skillsYou lean into complex problems, challenge the status quo, and seek to understand the ‘why’ behind human behavior and their mindsets
  • Proven ability to effectively use data and insights to set your direction and communicate your approach
  • You value outcomes and strive toward design that is welcoming, inspiring, and clear
  • You understand how design connects to, serves, and improves business outcomes
  • Exhibit a growth mindset

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
