Job summary

Cribl is seeking a Senior Product Designer to shape and deliver the security product experience across detection, alerting, investigation, triage, search pivots, and telemetry. You’ll partner with product, engineering, UX research, and other designers to create cohesive experiences across the Cribl platform.

You will design for security practitioners, translate complex SOC workflows into clear, trustworthy interfaces, and contribute to design systems and AI-assisted experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing complex B2B software, or enterprise platforms for technical users.
• Security background in product design, security operations, threat detection, incident response, or threat hunting.
• Understanding security practitioners’ realities, with noisy signals, incomplete evidence, time pressure, and high-consequence decisions.
• Strong product thinking and interaction-design skills to simplify complex workflows without oversimplifying.
• Experience designing AI-assisted, agentic, conversational, or emerging interaction models.
• Expert Figma skills including advanced prototyping and design documentation.
• Experience contributing to design systems and extending patterns thoughtfully.
• Understanding of AI tools and AI UX interaction models while preserving user control and trust.
• Ability to collaborate with Product and Engineering in iterative environments.
• A portfolio with case studies showing your role, decisions, and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design from problem framing through validation and implementation.
• Design workflows for detection creation, alert review, investigation, triage, search pivots, and threat coverage.
• Apply security judgment to evidence, provenance, confidence, severity, and permissions.
• Design AI-assisted experiences with clear intent, context, and user approval.
• Use Cribl design system, contribute reusable components and interaction models.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and designers for feasibility, accessibility, and high-fidelity delivery.
• Share work early through critiques and working sessions; give/receive constructive feedback.
• Prioritize opportunities using research and product evidence; refine shipped workflows.
• Present design rationale and tradeoffs clearly to technical and non-technical partners.
