Job summary

Saicon is seeking a Senior UX Designer to lead user-centered design initiatives across product managers, developers, designers, and business partners. You will drive research from strategy to usability testing, design usable, responsive applications, and apply rigorous design system standards within complex railroad-related workflows.

You will quickly learn domain specifics, influence stakeholders with clear design decisions, and deliver artifacts from sketches to high-fidelity prototypes,

Qualifications

• UI and responsive/mobile design
• Visual design and usability testing
• Quantitative and qualitative user research
• Figma design and prototyping software or similar
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to apply design systems and wcag accessibility standards
• Experience leading design projects

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate user research initiatives using generative and evaluative methods.
• Translate research findings, data, and insights into design decisions to validate solutions.
• Design usable, responsive applications for various customer roles and products, applying design system standards.
• Learn and synthesize complex business and logistics domains relevant to railroad operations.
• Communicate design decisions clearly and influence stakeholders.
• Create artifacts such as sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, user flows, personas, and usability test reports.
