Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Senior Utility Worker to support University of Vermont operations. You will lead daily kitchen area care, maintain equipment, and guide teammates to ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety.

This role requires reliability, adaptability, and a customer-focused mindset to serve staff and students. As part of the Sodexo team, you will work mornings through evenings, with varied shifts, and a full-time schedule.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Wash dishes/pots by hand or in a machine and polish silverware
• Sweep, mop, and clean floor, and remove garbage to designated areas.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks
• Transfers supplies and equipment within and between storage and work areas such as pantry and dish room.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

Pay Range: $21 per hour - $21 per hour

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Utility Worker at Sodexo, you are a team unifier and solutions driver. Your dedication to team needs and client solutions will make an everyday impact for your colleagues and our customers. You will be responsible for maintaining a variety of kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils. You will act as the senior person, providing direction to employees within your scope of responsibility.
