Job summary

Austin Water seeks an experienced leader to manage and optimize its supply chain, procurement, contract management, fleet, and warehouse functions. You will work with customers and stakeholders to ensure reliable resources and efficient operations.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, plus several years of supply chain management experience, including supervisory responsibilities, with a focus on risk mitigation and performance improvement across a public utility.

Qualifications

• Graduation with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Six (6) years of experience in supply chain management, purchasing, or contract management.
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement, contract management, fleet, and warehouse functions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain resources and supply chain effectiveness.
• Lead supply chain teams to improve performance and mitigate shortages.
• Manage recruitment, training, performance, and disciplinary actions for staff.
• Represent the utility at meetings and with committees on supply chain needs.
• Conduct risk assessments on perishability, trends, and demand.
