Job summary

R-2 Contractors, Inc. seeks an experienced Utility-Scale Vertical Drilling Superintendent to lead field operations on drilled pier foundations for energy and infrastructure projects across the United States.

You will plan manpower, equipment, and schedules; supervise field crews; and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery while developing future leaders. Extensive travel and long hours are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of drilled foundation or heavy civil experience.
• Minimum 5 years leading drilled pier foundation operations as a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent.
• Deep knowledge of drilled pier construction, auguring, casing, spoil management, reinforcement, and concrete placement.
• Experience managing large drilling rigs, support equipment, and field tooling.
• Strong ability to plan production, schedule, and ensure safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead all field operations for utility-scale drilled pier foundation projects.
• Plan manpower, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and production schedules.
• Supervise crews to ensure safe, productive project execution.
• Coordinate installation activities and ensure adherence to specs and quality standards.
• Read drawings and construction documents; communicate with customers and inspectors.
• Develop Foremen and future Superintendents through coaching and mentorship.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, and quality records.
• Promote safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
