Job summary

Details This is a leadership role overseeing daily operations in the central plant. You will coach staff, monitor performance, and ensure safety and compliance while communicating with upper management.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) plus 6 years, or a master’s degree (or equivalent) plus 4 years of related work experience, and a valid driver’s license. Salary ranges up to $101,750 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Equivalency statement allows substitution of higher education for work experience.
• Department may hire at one of the following levels: Manager, Utility Plant Management; requires bachelor’s +6 years or master’s +4 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide resources and direction to the assistant plant manager.
• Supervise Plant Operations and Building Operations staff.
• Ensure safe, efficient operation of hydronic heating and cooling equipment and distribution systems.
• Track and analyze plant performance; suggest improvements.
• Prepare and manage annual central plant budget.
