Northern Lights Locating & Inspections Inc is seeking a Training and Compliance Specialist for the Locate Division to design, deliver, and oversee training on locating practices. The role includes auditing locators, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, and mentoring staff in field operations.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of utility locating experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for safety and education.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years utility locating experience required.
• Ability to locate multiple utilities (electric, telecom, water, sewer, gas, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver training programs for new hires and existing staff.
• Audit field locating work for accuracy, safety, and policy compliance.
• Maintain training records, certifications, and audit results; report to management.
• Provide coaching to improve locator performance and implement corrective actions.
