Job summary

Cortina Solutions in Enterprise, Alabama is seeking a Senior Utility Helicopter Military Analyst with significant experience in Army aviation. This role involves providing expertise in Army utility helicopter operations and capability development, producing analytical products, and supporting operational studies for Army stakeholders.

The ideal candidate must have at least 15 years of Army Aviation experience, hold an active SECRET security clearance, and be prepared to contribute to high-level assessments and recommendations that improve operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting combat development, capability management, or capability development initiatives.
• Ability to independently develop graduate-level white papers, concept papers, and operational views.
• Basic understanding of the Army’s light utility aircraft fleet.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise in Army utility helicopter operations and combat development.
• Support operational studies and capability assessments for Army aviation.
• Produce high-quality analytical products for Army and Joint stakeholders.

Skills

Rated Army Aviator with a minimum of 15 years of Army Aviation flight and combat operations experience

Experience as a Standardization Instructor Pilot or Instructor Pilot in Army Aviation utility helicopter formations

Demonstrated ability to provide detailed operational analysis of Army Aviation utility aircraft employment

Active SECRET security clearance

Education

Completion of military or civilian equivalent professional education comparable to CGSC/ILE or the Warrant Officer Senior Staff Course

Senior or Master Army Aviator Badge

Job Description

The Senior Utility Helicopter Military Analyst provides subject matter expertise in Army utility helicopter operations, capability development, combat development, and aviation modernization initiatives. This position supports operational studies, capability assessments, technology evaluations, and requirements development efforts focused on the tactical employment of Army utility aircraft. The analyst develops recommendations to improve operational effectiveness, participates in Army Aviation capability assessments, and produces high-quality analytical products, including white papers, concept papers, operational views, and requirements documents supporting Army and Joint stakeholders.

Job Requirements

• Rated Army Aviator with a minimum of 15 years of Army Aviation flight and combat operations experience.
• Experience as a Standardization Instructor Pilot (SIP) or Instructor Pilot (IP) in Army Aviation utility helicopter formations.
• Experience operating current Army tactical utility aircraft fielded to Army aviation units.
• Completion of military or civilian equivalent professional education comparable to CGSC/ILE or the Warrant Officer Senior Staff Course.
• Senior or Master Army Aviator Badge required.
• Demonstrated ability to provide detailed operational analysis of Army Aviation utility aircraft employment and capability requirements.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting combat development, capability management, or capability development initiatives.
• Basic understanding of the Army’s light utility aircraft fleet and associated operational limitations.
• Ability to independently develop graduate-level white papers, concept papers, requirements documents, operational views, and related analytical products with minimal Government revisions.
• Ability to review and edit technical and analytical products to ensure professional quality and accuracy prior to Government submission.
• Active SECRET security clearance required.
