Egis is seeking a Utility Engineering Lead to head utility engineering, utility coordination, and SUE efforts across Texas. You will mentor staff, manage resources, and drive project delivery on transportation programs for TxDOT and local agencies.

The role requires a TX PE license, a strong track record in utility projects, and the ability to coordinate with owners, designers, and contractors. This position offers hybrid work arrangements and national opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas.
• 10+ years of experience leading utility engineering, utility coordination, and conflict management on transportation projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring engineering and technical staff.
• Ability to communicate and build relationships with clients, utility owners, public agencies, and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, project management, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to represent Egis in client meetings, industry events, and business development.

Responsabilités

• Lead and grow the Egis Utility Engineering practice, overseeing engineers, coordinators, SUE technicians, and inspectors.
• Manage department operations, staffing, resource planning, budgeting, and project scheduling.
• Serve as a technical leader on utility engineering, coordination, and SUE projects including TxDOT programs.
• Oversee utility conflict analysis, relocation coordination, and related services.
• Coordinate with utility owners, TxDOT, contractors, CEI teams, and design staff to resolve conflicts.
• Review and oversee utility plans, agreements, and project documentation.
