Job summary

BGE, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience in SUE and utility coordination to lead utility-related transportation projects in Texas. A Texas-registered PE and strong design coordination skills are required, with proficiency in MicroStation, Geopak, AutoCAD, and OpenRoads.

The candidate will oversee QA/QC, manage sub-teams, and liaise with clients and utility owners to ensure compliance and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Registered PE in Texas.
• 4+ years of experience with SUE, Utility Coordination/Utility Engineering.
• Experience supervising subsurface utility engineering and coordination teams.
• Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with MicroStation, Geopak, AutoCAD, OpenRoads.

Responsibilities

• Direct responsibility for utility engineering and coordination on transportation projects.
• Oversee preparation of existing SUE and other utility plans.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of field data and deliverables.
• Lead meetings, draft agreements, and review design submittals.
• Coordinate and review utility relocation plans to meet regulations.
• Identify and resolve utility conflicts to meet deadlines.
• Engage with clients and utility owners; represent BGE at meetings.
