About the Role
Reporting to the Director, UX, the Senior UX Designer will champion user insights, explore user behavior, understand product facets, prioritize features, and lead a team to deliver seamless user experiences. Candidates must be based in California and able to attend quarterly in-office meetings in Santa Barbara or San Francisco.

Responsibilities

1. User Research and Insight Gathering: Lead efforts to analyze user behavior and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities for enhancing customer value.
2. Product Mastery: Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the product, its features, and its relationship within the Ontra ecosystem.
3. Strategic Collaboration: Contribute to setting and achieving OKRs, prioritize features, and stay informed about industry trends.
4. Team Leadership: Guide team members to deliver exceptional user experiences, align on customer problems, and celebrate successes.
5. UX Design and Innovation: Use the design system effectively, leverage AI for efficiency, and engage in rapid prototyping.
6. Cross-Functional Partnership: Build relationships across teams to ensure cohesive user experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in user experience design
• Strategic thinking and understanding of design rationale
• Experience in user research and data-driven UX decisions
• Proficiency in prototyping tools like Figma, Axure, etc.
• Design with component libraries and usability best practices
• User-centered approach, prioritizing simplicity and intuitiveness
• Experience working in agile environments

Benefits & Compensation
Base pay range: $163,000—$228,000 USD, with potential for equity, bonuses, or additional compensation based on role and location.
Location: US (California preferred), APAC, EMEA, with remote options in certain regions.
