Job summary

Jim Taylor Auto Group is seeking a skilled buyer to own used inventory across Chevrolet Rayville, Buick GMC Monroe, and Ford Ruston. You decide what to buy, what to pay, and what to ask, with a base salary of $82,500 plus bonuses and full benefits.

You will drive multi-store acquisitions and manage online listings, pricing integrity, and merchandising. You will leverage live-market pricing tools and an ambitious plan to grow volume beyond 150 units per month, earning a total compensation target

Qualifications

• 3+ years buying, appraising, or managing used inventory at a franchise dealership.
• Ability to explain pricing philosophy in two minutes using a live-market approach.
• Experience buying at auction (digital and physical) and handling arbitration.
• Willingness to drive between three stores and grow acquisitions beyond trades/auctions.

Responsibilities

• Own acquisition across auction, wholesale, private party, trades, and service drive.
• Maintain daily market pricing and conduct a structured price review cadence.
• Manage recon budgeting and approvals from acquisition to frontline-ready.
• Ensure online listings, pricing integrity, and merchandising quality.
• Coordinate inventory transfers across all three stores and report weekly with GMs.
