Job summary

City of Medford is seeking a Planner II/III to join the Planning team and guide land-use decisions shaping the community’s growth. You will review development applications, prepare staff reports, and advise on policy changes.

You’ll collaborate with city staff, developers, and partner agencies, with opportunities to present to committees and lead complex projects. A HS diploma is required; 2–3 years of planning experience; a BA in planning may substitute for one year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Planner II requires two (2) years of professional planning experience; Planner III requires three (3) years.
• A Bachelor’s degree in urban or regional planning, or another relevant field, may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Review development applications, plans and maps and prepare staff reports.
• Prepare policy amendments and recommendations.
• Present before committees and commissions and coordinate with City staff, developers, and partner agencies.
