Job summary

LMN, an internationally recognized design practice based in Seattle, seeks an experienced Urban Designer to join its Urban Systems Lab. You will collaborate across architecture, urban design, and city planning to advance infrastructure, district planning, and redevelopment projects.

Requirements include a professional degree in a related field and 5+ years of experience with tools like Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit, and ArcGIS.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in urban design, landscape architecture, architecture, city planning, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience delivering urban design and city planning projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate design and planning alternatives for infrastructure and development projects.
• Lead analysis for structure, buildings, sites, networks, and neighborhoods.
• Produce clear diagrams to explain ideas, concepts, and alternatives.
• Assist with outreach and engagement.
• Perform 3D modeling and visualization in Rhino, Grasshopper, and Enscape, and explore AI-enabled design tools.
• Prepare reports and presentations with visuals.
• Prepare design documentation, guidelines, concept packages, and implementation materials.
• Provide code and policy review for architectural projects.
• Coordinate with clients and consultants.
