Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for an onsite, long-term contract in Holly Springs, NC. The role supports upstream manufacturing operations at a leading cell culture facility, providing technical expertise for process optimization, troubleshooting, and manufacturing support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 6-10 years of biotech manufacturing or Process Engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of upstream bioprocessing and large-scale operations.
• Hands-on experience with stainless steel bioprocess equipment in production.
• DeltaV experience is highly preferred.
• Experience providing direct manufacturing floor support preferred over CQV-focused work.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for upstream manufacturing, including bioreactors and buffer systems.
• Troubleshoot process, equipment, and automation issues on the floor.
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, MSAT, Engineering, Automation, and Quality teams.
• Analyze process data, support investigations, and corrective actions in GMP.
• Provide hands-on manufacturing floor support during production activities.
