GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Senior IT UNIX / Linux Engineer to own administration, performance, and continuous improvement of UNIX/Linux server environments across cloud platforms, data centers, and distribution sites.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in information technology or computer science.
Minimum 5–7 years of UNIX/Linux administration in production environments.
Strong expertise across multiple UNIX/Linux OS and enterprise tooling.

Responsibilities

Maintain UNIX/Linux server environments for performance, availability, and reliability.
Develop, test, and implement system enhancements following change management.
Create automation scripts to improve daily ops efficiency.
Evaluate, configure, test, and deploy new technologies to support business objectives.
Maintain configuration and asset records for hardware, software, and infra changes.
Design and execute standardized monitoring procedures and reports.
Lead infrastructure projects and provide guidance to Level 2 engineers.
Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and incident response.
Collaborate with IT teams on performance, deployments, relocations, and upgrades.
