Job summary

Histoury Inc. is seeking a skilled Unity/C# engineer to join our Portyl mobile project. You will help rework animation systems, optimize rendering, and extend editor tooling to accelerate artist workflows across Android and iOS.

You will contribute to real-time rendering, AR features, and platform integrations while maintaining build pipelines and Live Ops releases. 3+ years of released Unity projects are expected, with strong English proficiency and a focus on quality.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional Unity and C# experience with verifiable released products.
  • Major strength with Unity Character and Animation system architectures.
  • Demonstrable ShaderLab, HLSL, and real-time rendering experience.
  • Strong editor scripting and custom-tool development experience.
  • Knowledge of materials, lighting, transparency, animation, rigging constraints, prefabs, LOD, and mobile tradeoffs.
  • Android and iOS experience, including native integrations, signing, or build and release workflows.
  • Experience with Git, packages, assembly definitions, and multi-project dependencies.
  • Ability to take a production need through implementation, testing, documentation, and support.

Responsibilities

  • Rework and maintain character/animation system and pipeline, including animation state, IK, lip sync, cloth, materials, synchronization, optimization, and LOD.
  • Support and extend Histoury's ShaderLab and HLSL rendering stack and diagnose visual issues.
  • Build Unity editor tools, inspectors, validators, bulk processors, profiling tools, and artist workflows.
  • Implement defined Portyl features in C# across UI, runtime state, localization, APIs, AR, and platform integrations.
  • Integrate and maintain third-party packages, including artist facing toolkits.
  • Ability to help maintain build machines, perform device testing, and prepare code releases for Live Ops.
  • Own assigned QA defects and production issues from reproduction through validation and closure.

Role Description

What Success Looks Like

Within the first months, independently develop a character/animation system and pipeline based on specified architecture;outine technical-art support; expand artist-facing validation, inspection, and production tooling.
