Job summary

Aramark seeks a Senior Unit Controller for the Florida State Univ. account in Tallahassee, FL to lead financial reporting, analysis, and internal controls.

You will partner with the account lead to ensure profitable operations and adherence to policies across cash, inventory, and capital expenditures. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of progressive financial experience, a Finance or Accounting degree, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of progressive financial experience, including AP/AR, payroll, and P&L management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Ability to work closely with a team in budgeting, cost controls and monthly reporting.
• Adhering to generally accepted accounting practices and observing all financial controls and processes.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Willing to work event-based hours that include evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Financial planning and analysis: create annual forecast/budget by venue, create weekly/monthly/annual financial reports.
• Accountable for Cash Flow, Cash and Banking, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and Capital Expenditures.
• Weekly/Monthly reporting – including analyzing and communicating to the corporation and operators, including targets with SMART actions.
• Audits/Contract Compliance – including Cash, Accounts Payable, SOX and working with internal corporate auditors.
• Maintain all financial records and reports in adherence with Aramark’s Business Conduct Policy and all local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
• Train and develop finance and operations teams on financial acumen and policies.
• Client Communication (as applicable) – including systems, reporting, and changes to the program.
• Assist in operational support as needed with direction from Good Uncle Leadership/Regional Finance Director.
• Develop proformas for new business and revenue growth opportunities.
• Performs regional and account related duties as directed by the Director of FP&A.

Job Description

As a Unit Controller, you will be responsible for the preparation of financial and operating reports, conducting and document financial analysis projects. The Unit Controller will work directly with the lead operator at the account and enforce procedures that maximize profit by ensuring operational targets, internal control of inventories, cash, and equipment.

• Candidate must be willing to work event-based hours that include evenings andweekends

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
