Job summary

You will collaborate with underwriting, claims, actuarial and senior leaders across GRS North America, contribute to product development, and mentor junior underwriters.

This role requires a degree in business and 7–10+ years of underwriting experience, with a CPCU or professional designation preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business or equivalent typically required.
• 7+ years of underwriting or related experience (10+ common).
• CPCU or professional designation preferred.
• Proven ability to analyze underwriting risk.
• Strong written and verbal communication to explain analyses to stakeholders.
• Ability to develop and implement underwriting processes and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Oversees a portfolio of brokers, agents, and clients to drive profitability.
• Leverages market insights to develop and maintain profitable business.
• Builds relationships with agents/brokers to deepen partnerships.
• Contributes to product development and execution strategies.
• Collaborates with Underwriting Support, Claims, Actuarial, and Directors across GRS North America.
• Mentors junior underwriters and new hires (non-managerial).
• Identifies risk trends and communicates opportunities to leadership.
• Ensures compliance with relevant regulations in underwriting decisions.
