Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in insurance, finance, risk management, business or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of related underwriting experience.
• Experience underwriting excess liability for New York construction.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Ability to present findings clearly in writing and speech.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, evaluate, accept, decline, rate, quote and bind high premium or risk submissions.
• Build relationships with agents, reinsurers and industry contacts.
• Review submissions, pricing models and profitable premiums.
• Prepare underwriting analysis and communicate recommendations.
