Job summary

Chubb Ltd. in Houston seeks a Senior Underwriter to join our Global Casualty team. You will evaluate and underwrite new and renewal business, price and quote within strategic guidelines, and lead retention efforts through the Stewardship process.

You will build robust client relationships, collaborate across product lines, and ensure compliance with pricing, documentation, and self-audit standards while servicing Fortune 1000 accounts and complex risk profiles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in insurance, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial casualty underwriting, preferably with Fortune 1000 firms.
• Superior communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical abilities for risk evaluation and underwriting solutions.
• Proven sales and marketing skills with track record of business development.
• Advanced computer skills and familiarity with underwriting software tools.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, select, underwrite, price, quote, and maintain new and renewal business per strategic goals.
• Lead retention efforts for accounts through the Stewardship process.
• Ensure adherence to pricing and servicing standards.
• Participate in product line projects to improve efficiency and client satisfaction.
• Oversee and execute operational tasks with strict File Construction, Documentation, and Self-Audit compliance.
• Cultivate relationships and expertise to meet client needs internally and externally.
