Position Details

• This is a range posting (UW III, Sr UW & UW Specialist); level will be determined by the Hiring Manager based on experience. Ideal candidate will work remotely in the Southeast.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and grow a profitable book of Inland Marine insurance by writing new accounts, nurturing agent and broker relationships, and pursuing renewals.
• Analyze data and review risks to determine appropriate premiums, policies, and conditions, identifying opportunities for growth and diversification.
• Maintain and nurture relationships with agents and brokers, presenting proposals, negotiating deals, and obtaining approvals.
• Mentor underwriters and share best practices to foster team success and continuous improvement.
• Ensure all documentation, including account reviews, sign-offs, and referrals, complies with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of relevant experience in insurance underwriting.
