Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in underwriting, strong negotiation and communication skills, and a proven track record working across underwriters, operations, claims and marketing.

• 5+ years of underwriting or related experience.
• Proven ability to use technical analysis and underwriting skills to profitably grow new business revenue

• Must have proven marketing and negotiation skills

Responsibilities

• Manage renewal book and generate new business for the Charlotte branch.
• Drive profitable growth with assigned agents and brokers.
• Develop and negotiate price, coverage, terms and conditions for all new business and renewals.
• Collaborate with other underwriters, operations, claims, marketing, and home office management.
• Implement and manage effective pricing and rate strategies that produce profitability and book growth.
• Build and maintain producer and customer relationships.
