Our Wholesale Solutions team at AXA XL is poised for growth in the dynamic world of Excess and Surplus lines. AXA XL's Excess and Surplus business unit offers Umbrella and Excess Liability coverage to North American based Insureds. Underwriting teams are based in the United States, Canada, Bermuda, and Dublin. Coverage is written on an occurrence, claims-made, or occurrence reported basis. Our broad range of appetite includes clients in manufacturing, retail, construction, energy, rail, and many more.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting the execution of the region’s strategic plan, focusing on the assigned territory.
• Managing an existing portfolio of E&S Excess business, meeting growth and profitability goals.
• Supporting development of new products based on experience.
• Building visibility in the territory by communicating underwriting appetite and fostering broker relationships.
• Working independently with underwriting authority based on experience.
• Cultivating broker relationships to maintain steady business within underwriting appetite.
• Providing excellent service to clients to support the company's positive image.
• Building partnerships with other lines for cross-selling opportunities.
• Engaging in cross-marketing with other XL lines and meeting with brokers and insureds as needed.

You will report to the Head of Wholesale Solutions, Excess Casualty.

Qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience.
• Moderate E&S Excess Underwriting experience.
• Strong marketing relationships within the territory and experience in a production underwriting role.
• In-depth underwriting expertise across general classes and ability to manage a high-volume portfolio.
• Organized, self-starter, able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20%.
