Job summary

Everest Evolution™ seeks a Senior Underwriter, Commercial Auto to manage a profitable E&S Commercial Auto portfolio across the Southeast. This role may be based in Southeast offices or remote within the Southeast region for qualified candidates.

You will underwrite complex auto exposures, build broker relationships, and execute strategies to drive growth while maintaining underwriting discipline and profitability.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of commercial insurance underwriting experience.
• Strong expertise in Commercial Auto underwriting.
• Experience underwriting transportation, contractor auto or auto-focused casualty risks.
• Proven success managing broker relationships and generating new business.
• Independently manage a book of business with underwriting discipline.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal E&S Commercial Auto business, including fleet, public auto, contractor auto, transportation, and other complex exposures.
• Develop and maintain a profitable book of business within the Southeast Region.
• Build strong relationships with wholesale broker partners and become a trusted market resource.
• Evaluate risk exposures, pricing adequacy, terms, and coverage structures to achieve profitability goals.
• Execute underwriting strategies aligned with regional growth objectives.
• Identify new business opportunities and drive brand awareness for Everest Evolution.
• Collaborate with Claims, Actuarial, Operations, Product, and Distribution teams.
• Monitor market conditions, industry trends, and broker activity within the territory.
