Job summary

Citi is seeking a Senior Underwriter to lead a team of corporate underwriters handling large, complex relationships in the affordable housing sector. You will oversee credit monitoring, collaborate with Citi Community Capital Banking and Risk teams, and report to the Head of ICM: Citi Community Capital Credit Underwriting.

The role requires extensive risk management experience, a strong regulatory acumen, and the ability to drive underwriting excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 15+ years risk/risk-related credit work experience in the affordable housing finance sector
• 8+ years managerial experience
• Proven ability to engage with regulators and internal control functions
• Demonstrates strong ethics and integrity

Responsibilities

• Adoption of leading practices in credit analysis, underwriting, and monitoring across end-to-end process
• Manage junior resources and serve as key point of contact for escalations and guidance
• Perform detailed review of financial analysis, due diligence, projection modeling, stress testing, risk rating
• Review and approval of CAM packages
• Partner with front office on structuring and production of term sheets
• Facilitate relationships with clients, regulators, internal audit, and control functions
