Job summary

Dignity Health - St. John's Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, CA is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) to perform diagnostic ultrasound studies and provide patient-centered care.

You will operate advanced equipment, obtain clear images of abdomen, OB/GYN and fetal assessments, and present preliminary findings to physicians. You will interview patients, document history, ensure sterile technique, monitor safety, and maintain supplies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program.
• Over one year of Abdomen or OB/GYN experience.
• Current ARDMS continuing education requirements.
• CPR/BLS certification on hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures per department standards and orders.
• Interview patients for history and obtain consent as required.
• Maintain sterile technique and prevent cross-contamination.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout exams.
• Select and review images; present preliminary findings to physicians.
