Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations related to high-risk obstetrics, including fetal echocardiograms, nuchal translucencies, first trimester anatomy, and surveillance of multiple gestations. Assist maternal fetal medicine specialists with invasive procedures. Demonstrate competency and efficiency in operating various ultrasound machines and probes to produce high-quality images for detailed fetal anatomic surveys, transvaginal ultrasounds, biophysical profiles, specialized Doppler studies, and other procedures as needed. Make clinical judgments based on information from referring physicians, medical records, patient statements, and personal assessments. Under supervision, orient and mentor new hires and ultrasound technologists according to established policies and procedures.
