Job summary

Wellstar Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Ultrasound Technologist to perform a range of diagnostic ultrasound studies. You will operate imaging equipment, prepare patients, and coordinate with radiologists to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; graduate of an accredited sonography program preferred.
• Registered in ARDMS or ARRT-S per requirements; BLS certification required.
• Experience with ultrasound imaging and equipment operation; familiarity with PACS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Obtain quality diagnostic ultrasound images per department protocols.
• Verify clinician orders and patient identity prior to procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety using AIDET principles.
• Assist radiologists and other technologists across modalities as needed.
• Ensure infection control practices and proper equipment sterilization.
• Maintain patient privacy and dignity throughout exams.
