Job summary

SkyWater Technology, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced UPW Technician to operate and maintain the Ultra-Pure Water system in a semiconductor fabrication environment.

You will work with the UPW/IWN processes, perform maintenance, monitor instrumentation, and troubleshoot equipment to keep systems in spec. The role requires strong technical writing and teamwork in a full-time D-shift.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED.
• Experience: 10+ years of work experience (water plant).
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a member of the RODI operations team working with the SkyWater Technologies UPW System Owner to ensure accurate and complete operations deliverables.
• Write work plans for scheduled maintenance work to be conducted without any unplanned impacts, i.e. rotating equipment, workarounds, and bringing systems back online.
• Navigate SkyWater Facilities Operation systems and understand functionality on screens.
• Monitor and understand operational trends and SPC charts.
• Troubleshooting of field devices and process equipment to clearly identify process out of spec conditions and assist in root cause analysis and recovery of system to in spec state of operation.
• Understand Ultra-Pure Water and Industrial Wastewater Systems and Operation.
