Job summary

BigBear.ai is seeking a talented UI/UX Designer to join our expanding team in Ashburn, Virginia. You’ll blend HCID insight with modern JavaScript expertise to craft elegant, user-centric experiences across our applications.

You will dive into research, develop UI/UX strategies, and build reusable components using Sketch, Figma, InVision, and HTML/CSS/JS. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver feasible, impactful solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• 7+ years building dynamic apps with Vue, React, and Angular; strong portfolio required.
• Deep knowledge of JavaScript tooling (PUG, SCSS, Babel) and Node.js usage.
• Solid Git experience and complex workflows on large teams; PR reviews
• Familiarity with C#/.NET is a plus but not required.
• Visual design proficiency with Photoshop/Illustrator.
• Experience with UI/UX tools: MockPlus, Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD.
• Portfolio demonstrating SOLID design principles via plugins or components.
• Mastery of CSS (Less/Sass) and modern HTML5 accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Dive into research to analyze users' behaviors and patterns for design decisions.
• Develop UI/UX strategies that align with business goals and improve UX.
• Create and maintain asset library from wireframes to prototypes with Sketch/InVision.
• Design, build, and sustain clean, reusable HTML/CSS/JavaScript code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure feasible, creative solutions.
