Job summary

State of Ohio – Department of Public Safety (ODPS) seeks a Sr. UI/UX Designer to craft modern, user-centered interfaces for complex, workflow-heavy applications. You will collaborate with business users, PMs, IT and developers in an Agile setting, leading UX efforts from research through handoff.

You’ll own design systems, wireframes, prototypes, and usability testing to influence product strategy and roadmaps. Strong collaboration and mentoring skills are essential in this hybrid Columbus role.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing intuitive, user-centered interfaces for complex applications.
• 8+ years IA, navigation, and multi-step workflows.
• 8+ years in Agile/Scrum environments with backlog refinement and sprints.
• 5+ years in Design Systems, component libraries, and visual standards.
• 5+ years designing SaaS, enterprise, or complex digital products.

Responsibilities

• Translate UI/UX requirements from stakeholders into wireframes and designs.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and UI designs for complex business processes.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and design validation.
• Develop and maintain Design System libraries and reusable UI components.
