Job summary

AutoZone is seeking a Sr. Experience (UI/UX) Designer to create best-in-class, user-centered design by collaborating with product teams, conducting research, and delivering high-fidelity comps.

You will lead design efforts across projects in a fast-paced Agile environment, mentor other designers, and ensure accessibility and brand alignment. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in the User Experience, User Interface, or Interaction Design profession.
• Experience with eCommerce.
• Experience with UI/UX Design with a solid understanding of reusable patterns and Design Systems.
• Strong portfolio, including relevant examples of UI and UX successes.
• Strong understanding and experience with building designs for responsive and mobile environments.
• Experience with Sketch, Figma, Zeplin, and Adobe CC. Optional experience with Validately, UserZoom, and Adobe Analytics.
• Must have experience communicating with product owners, business stakeholders, SEO, Analytics, and Front-End development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers/owners, designers, and developers in a fast-paced Agile environment to prioritize design needs.
• Leverage user research, both qualitative and quantitative, from research and analytics teams.
• Assemble competitive analysis and best practices to provide insights into consumer market trends and customer needs.
• Deliver user-centric Visual and Interaction Design.
• Take ownership of projects and ensure understanding during handoff.
• Define essential user journeys/experiences and functional requirements with a product team.
• Present design work to stakeholders and advise on experience design best practices.
• May work with digital agencies to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and brand guidelines.
• Mentor and/or manage other designers and support professional development per AutoZone framework.
