Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a UI/UX specialist to lead human-centered design for federal case management and analytics tools.

You will craft intuitive dashboards, KPI-focused interfaces, and AI/ML decision-support visuals that comply with accessibility standards and security requirements. Work with BI, data engineers, and product teams in an Agile setting to translate research into high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and reusable components for a government-wide reporting

Qualifications

• 10+ years of general experience in information systems and 8+ years in UI/UX design
• 5+ years in a Human-Centered Design (HCD) role supporting enterprise or government applications
• Expertise in usability testing methodologies and proficiency with design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Axure, Storybook)

Responsibilities

• Design intuitive, accessible dashboards, reporting interfaces, and predictive analytics screens
• Translate UX research, personas, and journey maps into high-fidelity prototypes and specifications
• Collaborate with BI architects, data engineers, product owners, and developers to align visuals with data models and KPIs
• Conduct usability testing (heuristics, card sorting, A/B testing) and apply findings in sprints
• Define and maintain visualization and interaction design standards for reports and dashboards
• Design UX for AI/ML interfaces and ensure model outputs are interpretable
• Ensure accessibility compliance (Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA) across interfaces
• Support rapid prototyping and iterative validation within Agile cycles
• Drive adoption by aligning navigation with judiciary workflows
• Contribute to shared CMM design system components
