Job summary

Andr Global Inc. seeks a Sr. UI/UX Developer/Architect to build and maintain an enterprise design system, ensure WCAG 2.1/AAA compliance, and deliver accessible, reusable components. Strong communication and experience with USWDS or similar design systems are required.

The contractor will develop and document components using Storybook, collaborate across teams, mentor peers, and drive accessibility and UX standards across state projects like DNR, HHS, IWD, with an April compliance deadline.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional front-end development experience.
• Proven ability to set up and integrate enterprise design systems.
• Strong expertise in WCAG 2.1/AAA, ARIA roles, semantic HTML.
• Proficiency in HTML, SASS, and Angular.
• Experience using Storybook for component development and collaboration.
• UX principles and accessible UI design are essential.
• Experience with USWDS or other enterprise design systems.

Responsibilities

• Design System Development: Build, document, and maintain a scalable design system and reusable component library.
• Accessible Component Development: Develop high-level wrapper components with HTML, SASS, and Angular to ensure consistency and accessibility.
• Accessibility Compliance: Ensure all components meet WCAG 2.1/AAA standards via semantic HTML, ARIA, and testing workflows.
• Storybook Integration: Use Storybook for component development, documentation, and collaboration.
• Collaboration and Mentorship: Guide other teams on accessibility and design system best practices.
• Project Support: Provide accessibility and UX support for major state systems with a deadline.
• Code and Accessibility Reviews: Participate in code reviews and accessibility audits.
