Job summary

Epic Games is seeking a Senior Tools Programmer to build the next generation of UI tooling for Unreal Engine. You will shape systems that power UI authoring, automated AI-assisted workflows, and tooling across editor and runtime environments.

The role requires strong C++ skills, deep UI domain knowledge, and experience with Unreal Engine. Candidates with Slate/UMG familiarity and shipped title experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong tools-programming background focusing on improving development workflows in games or related fields.
• Deep UI domain expertise including UI frameworks, runtime UI engines, and editor tooling (WYSIWYG).
• Excellent C++ skills and experience in large codebases.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and integrate AI-powered UI tooling and workflows for authoring, iteration, and debugging.
• Own and evolve the UI tech codebase for in-game UI and editor tooling in Unreal Engine.
• Set technical direction for UI tooling and mentor other programmers.
