Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer (Applications) to design and implement robust UI for complex systems. You will work with a talented team through the full SDLC, participate in design reviews, and translate requirements into scalable UI solutions.

Responsibilities include mentoring others, collaborating with backend and hardware teams, and ensuring code quality with unit tests. Travel quarterly and meet ITAR/EAR compliance as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer engineering, CS, or EE or equivalent.
Minimum 12 years of relevant software engineering experience.
Strong C++ and QML skills with knowledge of data structures and OOP.
Experience with UI frameworks and building user-facing apps.
Experience writing unit tests and debugging complex apps.
Familiarity with Agile processes and SDLC.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain application UI for complex software systems.
Participate in design reviews and UI/UX discussions.
Translate requirements into scalable UI solutions.
Mentor engineers and guide best practices.
