Job summary

Level AI is seeking an experienced Staff UI Artist and Motion Designer to own UI visual language and motion for our education-focused platform. You will shape interface art, animation, and feedback systems while upholding craft standards and scalable components across projects.

You will partner with engineering, design, and product to translate educational concepts into compelling visuals and motion, mentor teammates, and push a culture of continuous craft growth within LEVEL.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in UI art and motion design roles within gaming or interactive media.
• Expert level proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (incl. After Effects).
• Hands-on experience implementing UI and animation in a modern game engine.
• Experience with 2D/runtime animation pipelines (Spine, Rive, Lottie).
• Ownership of a design system or UI component library used across products.
• A reel/portfolio showing interface craft and motion work with interaction feedback.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the UI visual language across products.
• Build and maintain design systems and component libraries.
• Produce production-ready UI assets and implement in engine.
• Define motion language and create UI animations and transitions.
• Mentor junior designers and collaborate with engineering and product teams.
