Job summary

Corient in Houston is seeking an experienced Wealth Planning Advisor to serve as the team’s subject matter expert for complex planning for families with $10M+ in investable assets. You will lead retirement, tax, estate, and trust optimization discussions and communicate sophisticated planning concepts clearly to clients.

You will also mentor junior planners, collaborate with Wealth Advisors to deliver tailored strategies, and support business development through proactive client engagement.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in advanced financial planning or private wealth management.
• Significant experience advising families with $10M+ in investable assets.
• Deep expertise in tax planning, estate planning, and multigenerational wealth transfer strategies.
• Experience collaborating with estate attorneys, CPAs, and other external advisors.
• Proficiency with financial planning, estate, and tax projection software such as eMoney, Holistiplan, Vanilla.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert for complex wealth planning matters affecting HNW/UHNW clients.
• Lead planning discussions on retirement, cash flow, tax-efficient wealth strategies, estate and trust optimization.
• Communicate sophisticated planning concepts clearly to clients and advisors.
• Collaborate with Wealth Advisors and support business development by showcasing advanced planning capabilities.
• Coach and counsel advisors on financial planning strategies and client relationship reviews.
• Mentor planners and contribute to thought leadership within the firm.
