Job summary

Corient, the world’s largest multi-family office, seeks a senior wealth planner in Houston, TX to serve UHNW clients with sophisticated planning strategies. You will lead planning discussions, coordinate with advisors, and elevate client outcomes with tax and estate planning expertise.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of advanced financial planning, CFP designation, and a proven ability to present to clients.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in advanced financial planning and UHNW advisory.
• Experience advising families with $10M+ investable assets.
• Deep expertise in tax planning, estate planning, and multigenerational wealth transfer strategies.
• Experience collaborating with estate attorneys, CPAs, and other external professional advisors.
• Proficiency with financial planning software; eMoney, Holistiplan, Vanilla.
• Professional, personable, tactful, efficient, and self-motivated.
• Strong interpersonal skills and desire to work in a team based collaborative environment.
• Not just a proficient technician. Experience presenting to clients in a competent, confident, persuasive, and empathetic manner.
• Strong organizational skills, multitasking, accuracy, service-minded, and meticulous adherence to details.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for complex wealth planning for HNW/UHNW clients.
• Lead planning discussions on retirement, cash flow, and tax strategies.
• Oversee estate planning, trusts, wealth transfer and charitable planning.
• Collaborate with Wealth Advisors as the planning expert on complex relationships.
• Coach and train advisors on planning strategies.
• Mentor planners and contribute to the Firm’s thought leadership.
