Job summary

Acorn Financial Services seeks a Tax Advisor to lead strategic tax planning for UHNW clients. You will architect proactive systems to mitigate taxes across complex portfolios, business transitions, and multi-generational transfers, safeguarding client legacies from tax friction and inflation.

You will mentor junior staff, communicate proactively with clients, and coordinate with estate attorneys and wealth managers to ensure aligned, tax-efficient plans.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Federal and State tax returns for UHNW clients (1040s) and entities (1041s, 1065, 1120S).
• Design sophisticated tax-mitigation strategies for liquidity events, business sales, and transitions.
• Lead tax strategy discussions with estate attorneys and wealth managers for plan alignment.
• Monitor federal/state tax law shifts and update firm-wide tax strategies accordingly.
• Review junior team work to ensure high-quality, compliant deliverables.
