Job summary

QinetiQ US is seeking an experienced UGV/Robotics Engineering SME to provide technical leadership in the development, integration, testing, and fielding of robotic and unmanned ground systems. The role supports government and industry stakeholders with system architecture, requirements development, and technology assessments.

The successful candidate will mentor engineers, collaborate across teams, and contribute to design reviews, risk assessments, verification and validation, and lifecycle

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 10+ years in defense systems engineering with unmanned or robotic systems.
• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering expertise across planning, development, integration, testing, and deployment of UGV programs.
• Support requirements analysis, system architecture development, interface definitions, and trade studies.
• Evaluate mobility, power, communications, sensing, navigation, autonomy, payload, and mission-support subsystems.
• Develop and review system requirements, ICDs, specifications, and technical analyses.
• Support V&V, developmental testing, and operational test planning.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance across projects.
• Collaborate with government labs, contractors, and external partners.
