Job summary

Lattice Semiconductor is seeking a firmware engineer to design, implement, and debug UEFI firmware for system bring-up and production platforms. You will lead porting efforts to new hardware, perform board power-on and SoC initialization, and collaborate with hardware teams to resolve power-on issues.

Required expertise includes ARM architecture, TF-A/SCP firmware, C programming, and hardware debugging. This role offers a challenging, fast-paced environment within a global semiconductor company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years in firmware, embedded systems, or platform bring-up roles.
• Strong expertise in UEFI firmware development and platform porting.
• Experience with board bring-up and power-on debugging for new hardware.
• Solid understanding of ARM architecture and boot flows.
• Working knowledge of ARM SCP Firmware and TF-A.
• Proficiency in C and low-level firmware development.
• Experience with hardware debugging tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and debug UEFI firmware for system bring-up and production platforms
• Lead porting efforts of UEFI to new hardware platforms, including early boot and HALs
• Perform board power-on, SoC initialization, and bring-up on new designs
• Collaborate with hardware, silicon, and system teams to debug firmware and power-on issues
• Integrate and maintain ARM SCP Firmware and TF-A as part of secure boot chain
• Analyze boot flows, power sequencing, and memory initialization for platform stability
• Create technical documentation for firmware design, bring-up procedures, and debug guidelines
